About Us
Primus Coating is a global leader in high-quality PVD Coating services, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations. Our activities began in 2010 with the first job coating center in Battle Creek, MI and was followed shortly afterwards with a job coating center in Toluca, Mexico. Since then, the global network has grown steadily to more than 20 service centers in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, providing high performance coatings to the manufacturing industry.

In USA, Primus Coating is located in Michigan, Tennessee, and Illinois as well with two joint ventures in Arizona and California.

Our PVD Coating Solutions
Our PVD coatings were specially developed to reduce friction and corrosion, increase surface hardness, improving tool life in different applications and working conditions. We work with tight tolerances and strict quality control, ensuring superior performance and cost reduction.
Our coatings are divided in two series: Performance and High Performance, each with specific characteristics, processes and most recommended applications.

All Primus Coating facilities use the same technology platform – PerformCoat – and follow standard operation procedures to ensure the same level of quality and service wherever they are located.

History
- Primus Coating’s activities began in 2010 with the first job coating center in Battle Creek, MI
- A new job coating center was established in Toluca, Mexico
- Beginning of the operations in South America, in Bragança Paulista, Brazil
- New job coating center opened in La Vergne, TN
- PerformCoat established a new R&D and Application Development Center in Switzerland to accelerate innovation and to better serve European customers
- PrimCoat India started its first coating center in Pune, India
- New job coating center opened in Bursa, Turkey
- Release of HP Alu and HP ZrN
- PrimCoat opened the second job coating center in Bangalore, India
- Release of HP Vicious
- Primus Vietnam LLC established its service center, near Ho Chi Minh City
- Release of HP Dura, our new AlCrN based coating for shank tools and forming tools
- Primus Coating Canada opened its services
